AND I FEEL LIKE I CAN FACE THE DAY. I CAN FORGIVE, AND I’M NOT ASHAMED OF THE PERSON THAT I AM TODAY.
NAME, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Uwate Mamoru is the name he goes by. However, being a teacher is reason enough for the students to bombard you with copious amounts of nicknames. Thusly, he is sometimes called “Uwate Oji-san” and derivations of the sort.
AGE, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The male is twenty-five years of age. Not too young, but not too old, he says. He was born November 23rd.
GENDER, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This one’s a male. Feel free to check would be a proper saying, but he’s a teacher, and must retain his decency, right?
SEXUALITY, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
He is a professional, his preference should be of no importance here. However, if you must know, he doesn’t mind either gender. So, bisexual would be the correct term.
MEMBER GROUP, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Mamoru is a second year teacher in Shirosawa. Science and Math are his fortés, but he is usually chosen to teach the former, rather than the latter. So, all in all, he teaches Physics to the second year students. His kind nature and air of maturity makes him an almost perfect north dormitory advisor, and he does take that job quite seriously as well.
POSITIVE & NEGATIVE, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Kind-hearted, he is never one to raise a violent hand, or speak a malevolent comment. He does not sport a frigid shoulder, nor does he bare sharpened fangs. He simply wishes the best for everyone he interacts with. • Simplistic, the man cannot be considered a complex individual. If anything, it could be said that he lives by Ockham’s, or Occum’s (either name is correct, really,) Razor; the simplest solution is the most logical one. However, this could almost be considered some idealistic sense of thinking on his part. • Stringent, diligence could almost be considered an understatement with him. If he wants something done, it will be finished with the least amount of procrastination possible. • Benevolent, Mamoru’s always trying to do the right thing. He knows, however, that the ‘right thing’ is subjective and dependent on the ever-shifting morale of the general populous, so he tries to not delve in the specifics of said actions for too long. • Fatherly, mainly to his students. He cares for them enough to look out for any changes in behavior indicating trouble at home, or any problem at all. • Languid, in premise, at least. He is always one to muster up a kind smile under most circumstances and attempt to give off a soft, easy-going aura.
• Naïve, he is willing to believe that which sounds to be the best. He retains that childish need to believe that which will have the greatest benefit for the greater populous, though he is mature, and old enough, to pick out lies when need be. • Worrisome, to the extent that he will worry for students and co-workers alike if they are somehow injured or bothered. • Blunt, if he is driven to anger, he will point out everything his peevish eyes set a glance to. For Mamoru, take heed to the saying, ‘beware the quiet ones.’ • Easily Flustered, like a child, almost. Though he does exude an aura of maturity, the right pokes and prods could be enough to send him out blushing like an idiot. It’s truly endearing. • Gullible, what? You lost your homework? … alright, fine. Just turn it in tomorrow. • Irascible, every man has a boiling point, and when Mamoru’s is reached, all sense of fatherly goodness seems to dissipate into air like smoke. • Quiet, he’s not a very loquacious individual unless the conversation involves some sort of math subject, and it isn’t too personal. Again, it’s almost as though he’s a child being cornered by embarrassing questions. However, anything that might involve the well-being, or just overall health of his students is enough to drive a conversation out of the man.
ADORE & LOATHE, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Teaching, obviously. • Reading, for he’s almost never seen without a good book either in hand, or on the desk near him. • Mamoru absolutely loves watching his students learn. It makes him feel accomplished in some simplistic way. • Despite his large partiality towards classical music, the radio is a powerful thing, and he will be caught humming along to pop songs every once in a while. • If the man has an absolute hobby, it is riding his motorcycle. It’s a black, YZF-R1 Yamaha, and he owns it instead of a car. Thus, he can be seen riding the metal contraption anywhere he goes.
• If there’s one thing that irks him, it is his students ignoring his lectures. He is notorious for keeping students in his classroom for an extra five minutes (or sometimes more) if this should happen. • Pnigophobia. The fear of suffocation. Really, don’t even mention it to him. • He understands there’s a necessity for it sometimes, but really. It is in one’s best interest to restrain from lying to him. He’ll understand, most probably. • The insubordination of his students. He is lenient towards first-time offenders, and is quick to give a second chance, but there are such things as limits. • Rain. It brings back far too many bad memories. • The injury of individuals, for he’ll feel as though he could have done something to avoid it all.

I.- Mamoru is known for his blatant disregard for speed limits when riding his motorcycle through the streets. Speeding might very well be his guilty pleasure, though he does wear his helmet in case something goes wrong. However, he is rather proud and confident of his skills in that death trap, and is not easily scared when it comes to traveling at high speeds.
II.- If anything, guilt is one of those sentiments that poke and prod and claw at his conscious enough to make him distracted. The man is usually a very straight-forward, concentrated individual, but if remorse for some action or other is present in his mind, it is sure to be enough to drive him off his set path of normalcy.
III.- A thinker, Mamoru is very easily lost in thought. Whether it is due to a book, a lesson, or the troubles and tribulations of everyday life, he can lose himself in a sea of thoughts and take longer than usual to surface from them. However, this also brings about a positive trait, the notion that problems do not usually pose a threat to him, as he is quick to think up feasible resolutions.
IV.- Often labeled a goodie-two-shoes, this man feels the strange inclination to do the ‘right thing,’ whatever that title may fall to. This I perhaps an ill side-effect of his ease to think himself culpable for something unreasonable. Whatever the case may be, he is quick to try and set things right with any power he may hold.
V. Mamoru lives home alone, currently, in a small apartment that is perfect for his necessities. He does not have any familiars living near him, no family in the city, save for two young nephews. The twins were children of his late sister, who is now deceased. However, he is still in contact with the children and can often be seen in the parks, spending the day with them during the weekends, when they two have become too much for their father and step-mother to handle.
